No. The nearest airport and mainline railway station are in Da Nang, roughly 30 kilometres away; road transfers commonly take about 45–60 minutes.
In the Cam Thanh and Bay Mau water-coconut area south-east of the old town. Many offers combine the short basket-boat ride with a market visit or cooking class.
They lie offshore. Excursion boats normally depart from Cua Dai, not the old-town riverfront, and sea conditions can affect departures.
An Bang and Cua Dai are about 4–7 kilometres from the old town. Hoi An has beaches, but Cua Dai has also faced serious erosion and coastal protection work.
No. Hue is about 130 kilometres north and is sold as a full-day trip. Ba Na Hills and the Marble Mountains are also closer to Da Nang than to Hoi An.
There is no airport, railway station or mountain attraction in town. The Golden Bridge is at Ba Na Hills, My Son is inland, and the Cham Islands require a boat transfer.
